Modites Alternator

Postby Stuart » Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:43 pm

I've looked over this bike lots of times but only recently realised the Alternator seemed to be missing. I was thinking of biding on an engine Ian saw on ebay but held off when I noticed this. Does the builder charge the bike before he leaves home or is the battery charged in another way do you think?
This is one of the best conversions I've seen but if it isn't charging its own battery, well... Any ideas?
Note the engine picture here (702) is one up from that used (602) but the DIMs are the same.

what is on the other side? He may have relocated it to the other side?

I thinkkkk???? Lombardini does have available an internal (motorcycle like) alternator available.

Hekco's Lombardini bikes I don't thing have automotive like alternators either. If I recall right he once said he was driving something alternator ish off the flywheel starter teeth?

Oh oh! Inside the flywheel maybe then :!: :D Cheers for that info - I've been puzzling over that. I've heard mention of the 2CV alternator for diesel bikes because it's so small but these internals are one better eh? Time for an alternative and internal alternators thread maybe...lol
