Glad to see they are getting bikes out to customers in Holland.

web site said wait for end of 2010 for sales outside Holland. Maybe I need to keep stalling on getting a project bike together.. Any idea yet on pricing to USA?

no emissions check in TN. The conversation at the DMV would go something like this:

"You got a receipt? It match the vin plate? It got 2 wheels? It got headlight and tail light? If it don't got turn signals you best know how ta use yer arms to signal. Give me some money. Now put this tag behind the rear axle, horizontal, not verticle or we'll give you a ticket. You'll get the title in the mail in a week or so. Hold onto this paperwork till you get it. Shoo-wee that thang sounds like my husbands tractor. Now honey, don't get yourself hurt. NEXT!"

I've seen title and tag on road race Aprillia not sold in the US to run the Dragon here localy, just need recipts for everything to prove you own it, where it came from and it's not stolen.

as far as I know there is no emissions check on bikes in any state BUT....

Think the way it goes is; an engine manufacture must have each model of their engines tested for emission and it pass before it can be sold in the US. That is why when you buy a diesel engine new... it is listed as being Teer 2 or Teer 3 compliant. Manufactures are all suppose to have any newly manufactured Teer 2 certified engine models redesigned and tested to meet Teer 3 levels by a certain date. Some have already that is why Teer 3 engines exist already. For some reason I think there is a Teer 4 & 5 level to be reached by all engines by certain distant future dates?

again... not sure exactly but think emissions for industrial and vehicle are different though in some states they are pushing legislation that industrial and recreational engines pass similar if not the same tougher level of vehicle emissions standards on a quicker time table than what is required by Federal rule. Which is why you see some engines are listed as Not legal to be sold in CA.

I dont recall exactly but Teer 5 may be what Auto engines must NOW pass before they can be sold in the US.

Another words in a long winded way... I just said that the MB 3cyl 8000tdi has not passed any form of Emmissions in the US therefore it can NOT be sold here rather it be stand alone or attached to a 2 or 4 wheel highway, industrial, recreation vehicle or as an industrial stationary engine.

How can a 3 cylinder 800cc engine not pass emission tests and Dodge RAMs can? It makes no sense and I doubt it's true.

Erik told me he is confident the Track would pass US emissions since it surpassed EU and NL standards

butt... that aside... small industrial 3cyl engines have no emissions equipment on them and they are not going to put them on there till they are forced. Putting it on early drives their cost above their competitors who plan to keep cost low by just squeaking by the lower (non vehicle) emission standards. So doing the right thing in this case could well out price them right out of the market.

Now the Track though is starting with a 3cyl engine made for the vehicle market by MB.

Well according to the license plate of the early models, it was registered as a home-built type, which in Holland means: no emissions test. I wouldn't know about the new types, the license plates hardly appear on photographs.
